The Central Region of the Florida Recreation and Park Association is comprised of Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, Orange, Sumter, Lake, Volusia, Seminole, Osceola, Brevard, Polk, Hillsborough, Pinellas and Indian River Counties.Message from the Region Director
Welcome to FRPA and the Central Region! My name is Marcia Bowen. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your Central Region Director for 2010-2012.
If you are looking to make a difference in your community and in your profession, you’ve come to the right place. FRPA leads the industry with innovative programs, networking opportunities, and outstanding educational sessions to help you grow both personally and professionally.
With those goals in mind, FRPA has established in its vision plan three essential strategies to ensure the future of Parks and Recreation through Repositioning, Leadership, and Advocacy. With your involvement, we can build community and provide a better quality of life for everyone.

By registering on FRPAs LinkedIn site to connect with fellow professionals statewide for answers to questions ranging from how to build a dog park to formats for community wide surveys. By exploring the FRPA website and discovering the vast amount of resources available. By attending Region meetings and networking with other people just like you that want to make a difference!
