Description:
1. Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision
2. Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas
3. Answers inquiries pertaining to policies and services, and resolves occupants' complaints
4. Collects payments and records data pertaining to funds and expenditures
5. Conducts law enforcement activities in assigned areas and other locations as directed
6. Conducts periodic site visits to insure proper management of field operations
7. Conserves and protects the natural, cultural, historical resources of the site
8. Coordinates use of facilities with internal and external consumers
9. Ensures Site security and visitor/associate safety
10. Ensures the safety and security of the site
11. Implements and evaluates cash management procedures
12. Maintains and manages facilities
13. Markets and implements an ongoing program of interpretation, outdoor recreation, golf and public relations
14. Observes and monitors to ensure efficient operations and adherence to facility's policies and procedures
15. Oversees generation of revenue from multiple sources
16. Oversees the ground maintenance
17. Prepares budget requests and maintains the budget through effective budgeting decisions
18. Reviews, assists and prepares all reports, documents and information for the operation of a facility
19. Supervises assigned staff
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of an undergraduate degree from an accredited four-year college or university
AND
Two years of full-time supervisory experience in visitor services, security, or in facilities maintenance in a state park, historic site, or similar facility
OR
Completion of an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university
AND
Four years of full-time experience in visitor services, security, or in facilities maintenance in a state park, historic site, or similar facility, which included two years of supervisory experience.
OR
Completion of a high school diploma (GED)
AND
Six years of full-time experience in visitor services, security, or in facilities maintenance in a state park, historic site, or similar facility which included two years of supervisory experience.
OR
Three years of full time experience as a PS: Parks Facilities Management Specialist (EL\WL) (Park Assistant Manager I\II) or Parks Resource Manager 2.
OR
One year of full time experience as a Park Manager or PS: NATURAL/CURATORS/PRESERVATIONIST (SP)(Historic Site Manager).

NOTES
1. The selected candidate must reside in housing provided. If not currently residing in DNR housing, the selected candidate will be required to pay 100% of residence utilities.
2. This position has been designated as a Class I Deputy Conservation Ranger; therefore, applicants must be at least twenty-one years of age and meet all requirements for certification as a Peace Officer by the Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Council.

3. MEDICAL STANDARDS-VISON: Minimum vision corrected to 20\40 with glasses or corrective lenses and at least 20\60 in both eyes without correction, Peripheral vision of at least 70 degrees in each eye. Information concerning additional standards are available upon request.

4. The selected candidate may be required to pass a pre-employment drug-screening test before final offer of the position.
